If you're a downtown business, it's time to start brainstorming for your window display for this year's Deck Downtown! This event kicks off in early December, inviting downtown businesses to enter a window decorating contest with chances to win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. 

Since downtown Newton is the heart of our community, we aim to make it a destination - a special place to shop, eat, and enjoy - throughout the holiday season. After winners are announced, businesses can keep their decorations up through Christmas, adding a festive touch to Main Street and enhancing the holiday spirit in our community.

Businesses can win in both the People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice categories. People’s Choice voting will open to the public on December 5th. Votes can be cast either in person at voting boxes located at each business or online via a form that will be available on December 5th. Voting will close on December 15th, with 1st-3rd place winners of both categories announced the following week.

The traveling trophies from last year’s competition are currently displayed at the winning locations: Bella Veil Bridal (1st Place Judge’s Choice) and Rohr Jewelry (1st Place People’s Choice). Be sure to look for their trophies when you visit! At the end of this year’s competition, the trophies will be awarded to the 2024 winners.

The deadline to sign your business up to participate is Friday, November 29th. All downtown businesses, members and non-members alike, are encouraged and welcome to participate.
